Location: Point Piper house on the Sydney Harbour NSW Year: 2020
The kitchen design at Point Piper makes an impression from the moment you walk in. Its defining feature is a large-format perfectly bookmatched splashback, a striking and carefully considered design decision that rewards the detail-oriented eye and anchors the entire room. Large textured tiles add natural variation throughout, while a linear light above the island defines the kitchen zone and creates a dramatic focal point within the open-plan space.
Smooth, uncomplicated cabinetry keeps the space clean and uncluttered, with the Miele dishwasher concealed seamlessly behind its facade. An all-black sink and tap disappear naturally into the midnight marble palette. Mirrored kickboards extend the sense of depth and space, and built-in drawer organisers keep the interior as considered as the exterior. A serious fridge and freezer provide real household capacity.
Dark, dramatic, and completely resolved. A custom kitchen design in Point Piper that stays with you long after you have left the room.
